Ordering Information

To hire The Quilted Kittens to quilt your project, please send us an initial email and include subject in the subject line. We will contact you by phone or email, whichever you prefer, for a consultation.

During this consultation, we will discuss what you would like to achieve with the final product.

When the initial consultation is completed, arrangements will be made for pick-up or shipping. It is important that the quilt be prepared to help insure successful quilting. Read the Quilt Preparation Instructions for proper quilt preparation.

When The Quilted Kittens receives the quilt, we will contact you before and during the quilting process if we have any questions. If the completion date is later than originally stated, we will contact you immediately.

Upon completion of the quilt, arrangements will be made to return the quilt. If the quilt is hand delivered, payment is due at time of delivery. If the quilt is to be shipped, shipping will occur once payment is received. For more shipping information, see the Shipping Instructions section below.

The Quilted Kittens will do the final measurement to determine the cost of the quilting. There will be a sales tax assessed for all products/quilting based on the current and local sales tax rates (as of July, 2011, the rate is 8%.)   An invoice will be included with the quilt whether hand delivered or shipped. The invoice will include all charges related to the project such as additional charge for batting, specialty thread, or other services. See the Price List for specific costs of services.

There is a minimum quilting fee of $50.00 - not including tax.

For our customers who ship their quilts to The Quilted Kittens, please read the following important information.

Note: We will ship to Canada but payment must be made in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank. Credit/debit card or online payment is not accepted at this time.

Customer Service

The Quilted Kittens strive to provide quality customer and quilting service. If we find that we may not meet your stated requests, we will contact you to discuss. For example, there may be issues around the piecing of the project or the cut of. We will contact you if we find issues with the project that may not be fixed with quilting.

If you are new to quilting, use your resources to insure that you are piecing a well-made quilt. Check our Tips and Tricks page for information. Visit other quilting sites on the Web. Join a local quilt guild or visit your local quilt shop. Quilters love to teach and you will be most successful if you speak to and learn from an experienced quilter.
